I Miss You Like A Broken Record is a quirky, emotional, and beautiful IDM voyage. The music on the album is written through the ups and downs of the non-binary composer’s past four years. The release features a sensitive side of Beep, with the heavily melancholic ‘Deadkids’ and the polyrhythmic harp-like harmonies in ‘Alma'. Beep also proceeds with brisk and precise drum programming in ‘Sleep Broker’ and ‘Fragments’. Beep has focus on time, and patience carries importance in their compositions. These contrasting energies are analogous to the intensity of heartbreak and sentiment, containing both the violent and contemplative aspects of these emotions.
